Dr. Ferro and MSc student, Ahmad Qadeer, represented the ARCH Lab at the 8th annual Department of Pediatrics Child Health Research Day, at McMaster University. The event showcased posters and oral presentations from undergraduate and medical students, research staff, new investigators, and faculty supervisors. Dr. Ferro was this year’s New Investigator Spotlight, presenting on “The Intersection of Physical and Mental Health in Children and Young Adults.” Ahmad, one of only four trainees selected to deliver an oral presentation, spoke about the on the topic of immigrants’ use of youth mental health services. Ahmad received an honourable mention from the judges for his work. Congratulations Ahmad!
