Congratulations to Dr. Ferro, who was chosen as the 2021 recipient of the Health Mid-Career Graduate Mentorship Award in the Faculty of Health at the University of Waterloo.

Quality mentorship of graduate students is an accomplishment during “normal” times; the past year, with virtual meetings and lack of face-to-face interaction was anything but typical. The Adjudication Committee noted that they were deeply impressed by the effort that students had directed towards Dr. Ferro’s nomination and the high esteem they held for him and his mentorship.
