Dr. Ferro was given the opportunity to have his research highlighted in a video created by Waterloo Applied Health Sciences.
Dr. Ferro’s research focuses on child multimorbidity- the co-occurrence of physical and mental illness in children, youth and young adults. Specifically, his work looks at the biological and psychosocial mechanisms leading to the onset of multimorbidity in youth. The ultimate goal of this work is to prevent child multimorbidity, improve child health, help families, enhance care, and reduce health system costs.
In addition to Dr. Ferro’s research, he is passionate about his teaching. The ARCH Lab graduate students have an active role in Dr. Ferro’s research and are an essential part of the work being conducted in the lab.
